If the Bankruptcy Federal Trustee sends a property own a letter

Resolved Question:

If the Bankruptcy Federal Trustee sends a property own a letter stating that the property is released back to him can the property own remove the tenants belongings and store them for him to pick up or does property own have to go through proper eviction policy for Washington laws?

Hi JACustomer,
Has your tenant already vacated the premises?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.
The tenant has a few things still in building and placed no trespassing signs and locks on gate and doors. He thinks he still has use of building even though he has gone through bankruptcy. All equipment has been auctioned.

If the tenant is still in possession of the premises - if he has not yet vacated - you do have to go through the court eviction process before you can evict him or remove his stuff.
However, your tenant can be held liable for any rent that accrues after his Bankruptcy was filed, and before he leaves, in addition to the legal and court fees you accrue because of the eviction proceeding. Perhaps if you inform him of this fact, he will just move.
