who was awarded the house when he divorced his ex wife?

Customer: replied 6 years ago.
My husband was awarded the house.
Expert:  GeorgetownLawyr replied 6 years ago.
ok. so it is pre-marital property before he married you. unless he leaves the house to you in his will, you should receive half of the house and the other half would go to his children upon his death. hopefully he wills the entire thing to you. alternatively, he could will it entirely to his 4 kids and no share to you.

If there is no will, will I automatically receive half of the house?
Expert:  GeorgetownLawyr replied 6 years ago.
typically the wife would receive half.

What must I do to protect my interest could my husband get a quick claim deed and add me to his property instead of a will?
Expert:  GeorgetownLawyr replied 6 years ago.
yes he could do exactly that if he chose to do so. otherwise he can leave it to you in his will. I believe i have answered your questions, please do not forget to "accept" so that I receive credit. thanks.

If my husband asked me to leave today without the will, will I be protected

not as far as the house is concerned, you will have no rights to the house.
