I missed a court date. I am being sued, so it is small claims

Resolved Question:

I missed a court date. I am being sued, so it is small claims court. I was ordered to appear and answer the 'interrogatories'. Pardon the spelling. My question-what is the penalty? Will I go to jail? or can this be handled without me being locked up? The case is in Morgan County Indiana

Thanks for your question. Thanks for your question. They could hold you in contempt here. The court would or may already have issued contempt pick up orders. You would need to appear in front of the court and resolve this. They may give you another chance to answer interrogatories.
