I have an auction contract to sell both personal property and real estate for a seller. The seller has stated to me they want to relieve me of my duties to use another auctioneer. Can they legally break our contract?

If you have a written contract and the person breaches it, you do have a right to sue for damages caused by the breach. You have a right to be put in the same position as you would have if the contract had been completed. In this case, it would be the percentage of your fee.
