I live in IL and Im taking a class. I wanted to know that

Resolved Question:

I live in IL and I'm taking a class. I wanted to know that IL law says about recording class sessions and where I can find this info. I know that there are laws about recording phone conversations but I'm specifically talking about being in a classroom and using a digital voice recorder.

Thank you.

There is no statute in IL that says whether or not recording a professor or teacher is legal. It is common practice to record classroom lectures for your private use. It would be illegal if you were recording and then selling the work product of the professor or teacher.
