I have signed proposal contract with roofing company before doing claim to insurance company. Chose different contractor for the job and now first contractor wants to put lean on my property. Can he do that? He did not pay anything out of his pocket for material.
State/Country relating to Question: Georgia
no he cannot do that, in order to file a lien he would have had to incur some costs/damages.
Is estimate considered as cost/damage?
no it is not, the contractor would have had to actually incur expenses.
