I gave my baby for adoption 2 weeks ago in california. A week after I asked th adoptive parents if I could please get them to cancel the adoption. They have said no and they told a lwayer to tell me that if I were to fight them to get her back they will not let me see her. I did sign that waiver that end my rights in 24 hours. Have my rights to get her back really ended?
State/Country relating to Question: California Already Tried: I asked the adoptive parents if I could get her back.
Yes, your rights have ended. When you terminated your parental rights, you lost all rights and obligations therein. At that point, you essentially became a legal stranger to the child having no more rights to her than anyone else.
I know this is not what you want to hear, but your odds of getting the child back are all but zero.
