I won a judgement in May of 75,000 and in August the opposing attorney filed a notice of appeal without a bond being posted. Where does that leave my judgement?
State/Country relating to Question: Florida Already Tried: We just found out. So we don't know what avenues to follow.
Good afternoon,I'm sorry to hear of your dilemma.Unfortunately, it leaves your present judgment unenforceable until the appeal process has run it's course. You will have to defend on the appeal. Given the amount of money involved, I strongly suggest that you hire a local attorney with appellate practice experience to assist you.I wish you the best.

I am a practicing attorney with more than 27 years of experience in the legal field.
I did not check additional money and my question was that they filed a "notice of appeal" My agreement was for $18 and they posted $38 -
the defendants did not post a bond and have not received word that their appeal has been approved - we should have an avenue to collect the judgement in the interim.
they have not been told that it is accepted and have not posted a bond which is supposed to be the way it is done.
