If someone took out a loan for me that my name is XXXXX XXXXX but I made the payments for two years then that person asked me to start paying her directly which i agreed and have done but all of this was done on a verbal agreement can that person take me to court. They want me to pay all the money in full at this time which I cannot do.
They can sue you for a breach of a verbal agreement. But if they agreed to loan you the money and you just make monthly payments and you have done so then you are not in breach and they have no cause of action to sue you. Hopefully you have cancelled checks to prove you have been paying them directly.
