My neighbor is complaining about a huge tree that is growing on my property but is hanging in her yard. Is it my responsibility to tim the part in her yard? I live in Idaho!
State/Country relating to Question: Idaho Already Tried: I have tried to talk to my neighbor and come up with a deal like they pay to have the tree cut that is in their yard and i will pay for the tree removal in my yard. They are threating legal action. The tree is fine in my yard but they don't want it in their yard.
Thanks for your question. You may well be liable here for your tree. You may try to resolve with neighbor. She would have to sue you in Small Claims here. But legally a tree on your property here is your tree.I really wish I could tell you otherwise. But unless she files in small claims there is no way she can force you to pay here. So you can trim off her side and leave the tree on your property as another option..RayAnswers40086.1769950579
