I need to know how I go about possibly suing an Independent License Social Worker? The problem I am having is my husband and his ex-wife were court order to see this person because of his 13 year old and now she has charged my credit card thousand of dollars (which I have now put a stop payment on & I am also disputing the charges) and is refusing to give us a detail bill of all charges made to my credit card. I have emails stating she won’t send a bill w/out my husband coming into her office and then turns around and states my husband & I are lying and we already have copies of the bill. This person has also threatened to give my husband a bad review to the courts because we have told her she is not professional and refusing to do her job. I am also started to get Migraines again and I am stressed out because of this person action and it is putting a strain on my marriage
State/Country relating to Question: Ohio Already Tried: asking for documentation numerous times
Hi,
What did she charge your credit card for?
That is what we are trying to find out she is refusing to give us a detail bill of everything she has charged my credit card so I can go over it and see if there are any mistakes (which I know there is because the credit card bill I got this month was for over $1500.00 & last month it was $700.00).
Okay, maybe I should rephrase. Was she billing you for counseling services? What exactly did you authorize her to bill you for?
Counseling services, email & telephone calls
Okay, thanks. The best thing to do at this point is to file a complaint with the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. You can access the form right online here: http://www.cswmft.ohio.gov/pdfs/complaint.pdf This should get you a copy of the bill, reimbursement for any bogus charges, plus disciplinary action against the social worker. If for some reason it does not, you will be ripe for filing a Fraud, blackmail and extortion lawsuit against this social worker. If it comes to that point, you can find local attorneys here: www.martindale.com. If you have more questions, I will be happy to help. Please accept my answer so I can receive credit for helping you. We can continue our conversation at no additional charge. Thanks.
