My father is in a nursing home and has dementia. I'm 'fighting' with my mother about getting him on Medicaid (public aid), but she won't cooperate and provide the documents I need to file. Mom and Dad are still married but seperated for about 4+ years, money is running out for my dad and now mom wants to file for divorce. Medicaid might see through this and deny him aid, which leaves me hanging... Dad's money will run out in November.I have Power for Attorney for my father. I don't want it any longer but no one in my family wants it either. How can I resind my power and give it back to my father? Or even to my mother?I also want to know since I signed my dad into the nursing home (and have been paying his bills with him money) and if he's denied public aid what do I do with my dad? He needs 24/7 care, so he can't live with me or anyone of my siblings. I can't pay for his nursing care it will bankrupt me.My mom is putting me in an immpossible position that could ruin me

To rescind the PoA, write a letter explaining of your intent to terminate your acting as the PoA. You would give this letter to your father, with a copy to your mother. If your parents are not legally separated, the PoA will automatically pass to your mother.
Regarding your father's care, after the divorce he would not be denied public aid if his assets are depleted, as you indicated they are.
