I am a salaried Drain cleaner in CO, can my employer deduct time for doctor visits, I have used all my 5 personal days? Thank you
State/Country relating to Question: Colorado Already Tried: Just looking up Dept. of Labor, and other questions from people. I dont know if I am exempt or not. Wish I could pay more.
If you have used all paid time off and your employer will not let you work extra on one day to get off early on another, they can deduct for time you do not work for going to a doctor visit.
I dont understand If I go to work and leave early, for appt, we reguarly work later.
If you are salaried based on working 40 hours a week and one week you work 6 hours on Monday but manage to work 32 hours Tues-Fri you still worked 40 hours and the employer should not deduct for any time missed on Mon since you made it up later in the week. But if your employer will not allow this flex time, then they can deduct for taking 2 hours off on Monday.
