I am a stock holder in an inactive company, (prospects for restarting are are remote) have I right to look at and possibly use information fron the defunct company data base.
use the information for what purpose? and what is your percentage of ownership of the company?
I don't know the percentage of my stockholding but it is very very small. When the person acting as treasurer stole the money, he stole all the money including some customer balances in pay pal. The customer database is held by a third party who also owns all the sites software. I along with another person in the owner of the software have started a similar website. The customer data would be used to contact former customers and or prospects to inform them of the new website. The only other people who were involved in the site were two large investors who refused to take any action regarding this continuing theft but now threaten a lawsuit if the customer data is used.
thank you for the additional information, no you may use the customer data, it is considered proprietary information and is the property of the corporation.
