i have a customer that i worked on his vehicle then he ran out of money so i was unable to finish his car. i was into it about $1000 over what he paid me, then i gave him the car as a loss to my business now he is going on ripp-off report.com and making my business out as a Fraud and it is affecting my business, what can i do/ can i sue him, he has no money? and how do i clear my name, i have all great reviews from everyone but this guy and he stays at home getting paid for disability when nothing is wrong with him
Already Tried: i have talked to him about it and he said he would delete the ripp off report then he goes and revises it to make himself look better. he said he is taking me to court on 9/23 but i havent recieved a subpeona
You can sue for defamation. You can ask for "specific performance" (taking down the report) in addition to money.
If you were being sued, you would have recieved a summons. But I would check with the clerk just to make sure.
