my boyfriend opened up a credit card under my name and SS# XXXXX I was un-aware of this until this past Friday. It's a buiness credit card (so it has the name of his former company on it but the name and SS# XXXXX are in my name) Does his former company have any legal rights to charge him with Fraud? Can I be charged with anything? What happens if the balance is just paid in full...and I don't press any charges. Can my ex be charged with anything?
State/Country relating to Question: Michigan Already Tried: I just found out about this Friday early evening... So i haven't done anything yet.

While the bank cannot charge with a crime, the bank can report the matter to the local district attorney to bring charges against the ex-boyfriend. You cannot be charged with anything.

If the balance is paid in full and you don't press charges, it would be up to the bank to report the matter, if they elect not to your ex would not be charged.

thank you for your answer so far. but, one thing you did not answer was could his former company bring any charges on him?
they can sue him in civil court, as you could, for the charges that he incurred on the card.
