I own an auto repair business in westmoreland county, Pennsylvania. A customer had us do repairs to a 1962 Valiant. She paid $500 last summer toward a $1200 repair bill. She contacted us once in a year and a half to say she would come in two weeks to make another payment but she never shows up. What can I do to acquire title to this vehicle to sell for the money owed?
State/Country relating to Question: Pennsylvania Already Tried: Tried to contact her but her phone was disconnect. She did call two months ago to say she would be making a payment in two weeks but she never showed up or called.
What you should do is sue the customer in Small Claims court and secure either settlement or a judgment for the balance owed plus court costs.
Local magistrate or county courts?
Given the balance, small claims court.
