Because you did not have the license when you were arrested growing the pot, you will not be able to reduce the charges by geting the license after the fact. However, if you have the license when you appear, it will help in the sentencing -- depending upon how much pot was in your possession -- by telling the cour that you meant to get the license all along -- you just had not gotten around to it until now.
