I have a neighbor who calls me sick because he knows I am bipolar. This same neighbor was criving at night a golf cart on my lawn, and going into my back yard and turning over my plants and a lawn chair. He was making harassing phone calls to me at work, in which I have one call saved onto my cell phone is how I know it was him. He called the police on me because he heard a gun sound about 7:00 in the morning and assumed I was the one. He built his driveway onto my property and I had it cut off. He flairs his driveway entrance onto my property line. He placed his street side water main onto my property line. His driveway is still next to my property line and therefore he complains that I am putting grass on his driveway during lawn cutting. He threw my paver stones away from his driveway where I have removed dirt next his driveway, yet in this dirt area he has a sprinkler system there and will not remove it. He has called county enforcers twice. What category lawyer do I need?
State/Country relating to Question: Georgia Already Tried: The neighbor told the last police he called a week ago, that I was on his property when I was not, but he used the association president to lie with him as a witness. The police placed a CT on both of us. The same president had just stated to me in front of two other neighbors that if I was a man he would hit me. Is that a threat used by his witness? I only on the day the police arrive went to talk to the president and the neighbor left his house and came to our locaton in the street. I used profanity on the day this occurred. The reaction of the neighbor came after I told the neighbors in attendance at the meeting what he has been up to. This same neighbor pulled these same practices on another neighbor who is selling his house. The neighbor did not show up to court during their challenge. How can I challenge this behavior toward me of slander and harrassment?
You have various elements here, but most could be handled by a general practice attorney. Sure, you could go to specifically a person injury or real estate/property law attorney, but with a general practitioner, you'd have the benefits of an attorney experienced in dealing with various issues of law.In this case, that will help out quite a bit with dealing with harrassment (Personal Restraining Order), trespass/conversion of property (Tort attorney), and issues of property line dispute and right of use (property law).Your best bet is to contact the state bar association and ask for their attorney referral service/.directory or simply ask for general practioner recommendations.Your next best option is to use www.martindale.com and search for General Practice attorneys in your area. Look for ones with a rating of CV or higher (a CV rated attorney would be more than capable of dealing with these types of issues).
