my boyfriends ex-wife has continually called me over the last 6 weks, sometimes using profanity, sometimes telling me i will die, etc. she has also told him inperson that she will kill me or him someday. I get 6-7 calls a day, all hours of the night. They come in as private #, but i have installed aservice that decodes it, and its her. i have recording and record of every call. She has recently gotten a new phone # XXXXX a different name and continues to harass me with it. What can i do?

Wow, I am sorry that you going through such an ordeal. 1. You can file a restraining order against her. You would have to the police station to fill it out, and in a few days or weeks after you drop it off, the other party would be notified and served. Both of you would have to go in front of the judge where the judge can make a determination on whether to dismiss the restraining order or whether to make it permanent. Bring copies of her calls and her comments. If the judge believes them, should she try to contact you again, or threaten you, you can get her arrested. 2. You can try to charge her with Harassment and making terroristic threats against you as well. If you believe that her threats are valid, make sure to contact the police as soon as possible.
