I recently moved from California to North Carolina. In 2001 I obtained a Revocable Trust , a Durable Power of Attorney document as well as a will. I have an adult daughter who is disabled, and the trust provides for her after my demise. What do I need to do to ensure that these documents are legal and valid in North Carolina? Do I need to have them all done over or are they valid as is?
State/Country relating to Question: North Carolina
They should valid as is, I assume they are drafted in uniform language. To be certain, have them reviewed by a NC estates attorney.
