My ex continues to create havoc in my life, he has refused to turn over insurance information (he owns the company, so Cobra is beholden to him based on the information he gives them)... he recently called them and told them I wasn't eligible for the dental coverage I had already paid for. They dropped me. Now I have to get proof (from his business or him) that I am federally mandated as eligible. It doesn't cost him a dime, but he keeps doing this to waste my time and cause me anguish. It will get straightened around, the problems he creates always do, but they cause me tremendous grief, waste my time, I've had to pay attorney's fees and taxi fare, airline tickets, dog care, etc. to rectify other problems of the same sort. By decree, he has to show proof of life insurance, etc., and I had to file contempt charges to get this straightened around. I also is legally bound to pay my farm foreman's wage and has thrown road blocks up for this. He's wealthy. How do I make it stop?
State/Country relating to Question: Ohio Already Tried: Contempt charges... he doesn't care. It's all about making me spend my money, and forcing me to waste my time, while causing me emotional anguish. He's very wealthy, money means nothing to him. I really need to get my life back and be able to force this harassment to stop. isn't there ANYTHING I can do? He cheated on me for 25 years, I was faithful and trusting... you'd think by his behavior I was the one who wronged HIM!!!! It is depressing me and causing me to feel suicidal. I really need help making him stop.
If money means nothing to him, and contempt charges have no effect, there is little you can do. Even a private cause of action for intentional infliction of emotional distress would only yiled financial reward.
