What can I do about a girl who I've known since middle school and NEVER got along with because she told me over the phone she DIDN'T like me so therefore wasnt going to bother being nice to me, and tried to get her best friend (at the time) and current boyfriend now against me and also told me when I was in about 6th grade when I asked her why we dont hang out she told me she was embarrassed to be around me because of what people would say to her about haning out with me because I was in a wheelchair?
I am sorry, what exactly is your question? Do you want to sue the girl for somehting?
Well, I was wondering if I could sue her for defamation of character or get it resolved privately?
How old are you now?
I am 26 almost 27 and she is 25 almost 26, but she is kinda messing with me, eventhough I have been nice to her and have sent her a nice email telling her I would like to resolve out differences, but the past in the past and she still didnt want to accept that she didnt even have the common curtesy to aknowledge that she had even gotten my message, I had to hear if from her boyfriend.
Thank you for providing me with that information. The 1st amendment grants us all the right for freedom to associate with whomever we wish. However, it also grants us and others the freedom from associating with whomever we want also. If this girl was mean to you in middle school, when both of you were minors, you cannot bring charges now, years later. Choose to exercise your freedom from associating with this person and move on. Due to this freedom from association, you cannot force her to respond to your messages if she does not want to. Unless her "messing" gets to be Harassment or crosses legal boundaries, it is better to just stay away. Sincerely, Dimitry Alexander Kaplun, Esq.
