i have had a body shop restore an 1969 Ford Mustang convertible and he has had it for 1 1/2 years. i became frustrated with the progress after it was suppose to be done 6 months ago. the last month it has been it will be ready Saturday. picking it up this Saturday it was not even close to being ready and i finally brought it home because he does not seem to be interested in doing the job right. the car looks total crap. do i have any grounds to sue him and recover all or some of money?
State/Country relating to Question: Kansas Already Tried: I just picked the car up yesterday after waiting on him for the last 1 1/2 years.
You have a claim for breach of contract. You can sue but you can also file a complaint with the better business bureau as well as the department of consumer affairs or alternatively have a consumer protection lawyer reach out to settle.
