I purchased a new car yesterday, August 22, from a dealer in Florida. I now regret the purchase. The car already had over 3,000 miles on it so I suspect that someone else may have owned it and I believe I paid too much. Am I able to return it and get a full refund including my trade-in (a clunker that didn't meet the standards set by the Fed Gov but the dealer accepted it and will have the car destroyed)?
State/Country relating to Question: Florida Already Tried: I have not contacted them on this issue.
Unfortunately you are not able to do that. There is no such thing as a "buyer's remorse" or a "72 hour option" that can get you to change your mind. The rule is very simple and rather inflexible; unless there is Fraud, duress, misrepresentation, or any other barrier to a valid contract, the moment you drive out of their parking lot with your purchase, it's yours. I am truly sorry I cannot give you better news. Sincerely, Dimitry Alexander Kaplun, Esq. Dimitry Alexander Kaplun40049.1272641551
