I signed a contract for a compact tractor yesterday for around $18k but have not taken delivery. I would like to cancel that contract. Is this possible?
State/Country relating to Question: Florida
Thank you for using JustAnswer! When are you supposed to take delivery? Why do you no longer want to take delivery?
Thursday or Friday, they didn't have everything at the shop.
It wasn't a wise decision to buy, I wouldn't use the tractor very much and it would mostly sit.
Is the tractor being customized for you in any way?
No it is not. I signed the contract at close of business yesterday and if I went in first thing Monday I'm sure nothing has been done other than the contract itself.
Have you put down a deposit?
No I have not given any money. It was a 0% for 60 months deal and did not require a deposit.
Okay, thanks. From the facts you describe, you should be able to cancel the contract with little or no difficulty. It would be wise to go with your notion to immediately go there at the start of business and put them on notice. Good luck and best wishes! I hope that you find this information to be helpful and this answer to be ACCEPTable!
