About a year ago I got my eye brows waxed at my local Cost Cutters salosn (Regis Corp). The stylist left the wax too long and burned my eye brows. It took months for it to heal and but left minor scars above both eyes. It's visible and makes me feel self consious. After going back and forth with their thier liability specialist regarding my claim all they can offer me is $50 in gift certificate. This left me very angry, it's like a slap in the face. He asked me if I have a counter offer. How much should I demand? I just want whats fair and reasonable. I felt the stylist was negligent and to make matters worse very rude, both her and her manager. I just want to resolve this matter so I can go on with my life especially since I know have a new born to take care of. Please let me know how I should handle this. I don't know what to do. Thanky you.
State/Country relating to Question: Alaska Already Tried: I've sent photos before and after the incident and months later to show the scarring. I also went to see my doctor to provide an evaluation which they asked for and I submitted.

However, this is the best suggestion available. You should speak to a personal injury attorney. Facial scars may provide you with a solid grounds to recover a very substantial sum. It is important to note that facial scars can yield a great deal of emotional damages as well. Your attorney can evaluate your matter and help you determine what, if any, recovery is available to you.I cannot tell you how much your injury is worth. Personal injury awards vary by the particular injuries involved, the damages suffered, and the region. In my personal opinion, I do not believe this is a matter you should try to negotiate yourself. You should take all records of your visit, and subsequent doctor/hospital visitations, etc. to an attorney who is licensed to practice law in your state. Your attorney may be able to recover a substantial sum for you and you may be surprised at how little effort this requires on your part relative to the sum recovered.
