I am a CEO of a FI and have an individual in our small community with a "passion" of speaking slanderous words so as to ruin my reputation in the community and is intent on me losing my job after 25 great years in the non profit business. He is stating that I am a a felon having "breaking and entering" a friends business and is intent and shouts to everyone who will listen that I am a thief and he will have me in jail. My business has began to suffer a bit in such a small community but the most of my customers know me well over the past 25 years and are standing by me. The DAs office dismissed any case months ago but this man went back in to the DAs office and caused quite a ruckous (as stated to my by the investigating Trooper) to have them re-investigate the incident. Can I stop him in his tracks and sue him for slander. This has gotten to horribly out of hand and I have taken the "high road" and just kept quiet thus far.
State/Country relating to Question: Pennsylvania Already Tried: Not a thing. I know from the State Trooper that chrges will not be filed but this irate man will not "go away".
