I won a summary judgement against a former client and they still refuse to pay. How do I get legal access to their bank accounts?
State/Country relating to Question: Georgia Already Tried: After winning the judgement, I sent letters demanding payment. In the research I have done, it seems that if I can get their banking info then I should be able to get a court order to the bank to pay the debt.
Yes you can get a court order to levy against their bank accounts or to garnish their wages. You will have to sue for enforcement of your judgment and in that suit file discovery to compel them to give you bank information and employment info and then you ask the court to give you an order allowing you to garnish or levy. There are also judgment recovery agencies that do this on a daily basis and it may be worth their fee if the judgment is large enough.
