Regarding the state of Ohio: I recently (7/21/09) left a position. By the 13th of August I still had not received my final pay check. I sent an inquiring email and received the "post-dated" check the next day. The pay stub states I have 48 hours vacation still available for 2009, plus sick pay of 24 hours. Should I legally be paid for this extra time?
Already Tried: Cuyahoga County, Ohio I have only sent an email of inquiry for now.
Were you paid? Are you under contract? Legally, they do not have to pay you for vacation and sick leave, but many employers do.
