When considering a divorce what changes when you hit the 10 year anniversary (in Texas)? There are no children. Current income for both spouses are comparable.

Expert's Answer

Once a marriage reaches the 10 year point in Texas the higher income spouse may be required to pay spousal maintenance to the lower income spouse. Also there is a great argument to property division since the marriage is considered a long-term marriage at that point.
