I have a client who excepted a proposal which clearly stated the payment terms of 14 days, since the works were completed they have told me they only pay on 30 days, now it has been over thirty days and I am sitting at home because I can't afford to go to work (no money for petrol expenses etc) I have work that is being cancelled because of this. Can I sue them for lost revenue?
State/Country relating to Question: Australia Already Tried: Contacting the client, advising them that the agreed on the proposal with my payment terms, requesting payment.
Thank you for using JustAnswer! You can sue the client for non-payment on the contract but you have no legal basis to sue for lost revenue. Good luck and best wishes! I hope that you find this information to be helpful and this answer to be ACCEPTable!
