how can I obtain a religious protective trust in Texas
State/Country relating to Question: Texas Already Tried: I have ask questions to cpa on how to set up an account for an unlicensed church.
If you are not a recognized or licensed church in the state, you would not be able to set up a "religious trust" and Texas does not have a "religious protective trust" just regular trusts. What you need to do is become a registered non-profit organization/LLC and you would form that through the secretary of state, then you can form a regular trust like any other non-profit organization. You would need to obtain non-profit status from the IRS by filing with them as well. Then your non-profit LLC would be the trustee of the trust you set up and could govern the trust as dictated by the trust documents.
