I lived at this buildingXXXXX in Brooklyn. I fell behind in payments, at the amount of $1,250 per month for three months. I checked my credit report and they had the owner of the building as a Mr, Vargas. That is not the person I rented from. Now my question is do I have to pay this Mr. Vargas, what do I do now?

The owner of the building is not necessarily the person you were paying your money to. The owner may have hired a property mananger to take care of his building. Or, perhaps Vargas owns the entire building, but not the apartment you are renting?

Whatever the case may be, you need to pay the money to whoever you spoke to when yo rented the building.
