I recently purchased a pre-owned Jet ski in the State of Michigan from a dealership . The machine did not run the first time they dropped it off, the company took it and worked on the machine , the next time they dropped it off (2 days later) it did not work again. The third time after riding it 4 times it is not running. I signed a contract and a disclaimer (sold as is ") the sales person told me it ran great and if there were issues they would take it back. Now they say its my problem and I have a had it 3 weeks. Anything I can do. I actually had to resign the contract because it was not filed properly a week ago but did not resign the disclaimers.
State/Country of Question: Michigan Already Tried: Called dealership several times , stopped into dealership 2 times, had them service it 2 times , spoke to 2 different managers stating I would like to have a solution to the problem or void the contract , the managers told me thats what happens when buying pre owned machines and siad well you can bring it in agian . I have to make a payment on it this month , and would like to know what options I have
What specifically do you want to accomplish?
I would like to get out of the contract for the jet ski .
You can seek to rescind based on breach of contract and unjust enrichment. Negotiate first, complain to the BBB and dept of consumer affairs. Use a lawyer and sue as stage 3 of the process.
