i have been falsely accused of turning my husband into adult protective services for stealing money from and abusing his invalid mother.........also accused of turning in someone to aps that i hardly know. Aps has told me to contact the sheriff and have him go to ones talking, it did no good......Aps says they cannot help me beyond that .............they feel sorry for me, but cannot admit or deny that anyone was turned in........They know completely that i had nothing to do with this............both allegations were completely false completely false.
State/Country of Question: Texas Already Tried: telling everyone who accused me the truth, i had no idea about any of it........calling aps myself for help......they have told me they cannot make a statement on my behalf.........it has been going on since may 04, 2009 relentlessly........my husband knows it is ludicrous and has no doubt......the other woman turned in is someone i know who is, only because we live in a small community.........when aps made their initial visit, they realized it was a bogus call an error, they closed the case and never returned,,,,,,,,they were very nice they interviewed us, our maid and two inlaws, my mother in law of course.........they were completely satisfied that all was well........my inlaws and all of their families plus the family i do not know are 0refusing to let up. i think the people or person who reported us was a lifeline operator........my mother inlaw would push her button, call 911 repeatedly, she could not help herself in that regard. she would call the wrong numbers looking for her daughter to bring her her medicine. she suffered from parkinsons along with ssevere depression and anxiety aattacks, meds.....prozac, xanax, etc.........a maid would take care of her m-f 9 to 2, my husband would take care of her from 3 until the next am.......i took care of her ffrom thurs night until monday am for 2 yrs. she died july 30, 2009 and theaccusations that i turned in the family and that other woman i do not know are worse than ever........my sister in law is the main one and her 3 daughters their 3 husbands two more nieces and another inlaw..........my sister in law and one niece were poa,s and would not allow my husband to be, my mother in law wanted him to be a co poa as well, we were told that was changed, but it was not. my sister in law stayed at the horse races for one whold summer then 3 wks hunting i utah.....my husband and i have jobs that requite 6 days ofworkk a week, we can only take off on govt. holidays....she is at races after resurecting this lie
What is your question please?
what can i do to stop this and is this slander? It is awful i never knew anything like this could happen
I'm afraid I can't help you. I will opt out so another expert can assist.
i do not know what other info you want
Hi,
There is no "slander" unless the accusations are made public. APS will not publicize the allegations, so you have nothing to fear from them. If the reporting person sues you, then you can prove that the allegations are false and countersue for "wrongful institution of civil proceedings."
Hope this helps.
