basically ive been demoted. wasnt writen up first or warned. im losing 8000 dollars a year and two weeks vacation. il also will have to do twice the labor work. i was the manager. i spoke with a unemployment worker and she said i could collect if i quit because of finical hardship. is this true before i do it
If unemployment is telling you this be very cautious. Unemployment looks not just at the demotion, but the amount of money you would earn in the new position and whether or not it is more than you would earn on unemployment and there is a good possibility you could be denied. I would never suggest to a client, especially in this job market and economy, leaving employment under these circumstances unless the cut in pay is greater than 30% or so.
