For 9 years I have been under doctors, family doctor(graves symptoms and psychiatric care, for PTSD). and still very sick. Suddenly, a new Doctor, suspects "graves" and tests show I've had auto immune disease (all my life), graves disease and hyper thyroidism. Endocrinologists and opthlmologist ask "what doctor have you been seeing? I can look at you and tell you have graves disease!". Could I sue the Doctor i have been routinely seeing the very same week i find out what's really wrong with me for not testing me or noticing, I've had Graves so long, I must have thyroid surgery and three eye surgerys. If found earlier I could have only required medication treatment.

Thank you for using JustAnswer! From the facts that you've described, you may be able to sue. You will need to contact a local medical malpractice attorney for further evaluation. What they will do is obtain a copy of your medical records from all of your treating doctors, have them reviewed by an expert, and then advise you of your possible options. One of the things they will carefully examine in the records is timing and whether or not any claim could be barred by a statute of limitations. Good luck and best wishes! I hope that you find this information to be helpful in better understanding where you stand and why. I also hope that you find this answer to be ACCEPTable!
