I was a dancer over 60 years ago. I took an alias and over the years almost everything was in that name. I pay my taxes under that name. My driver's license is under that name. I went to renew my driver's license and I am listed as a non citizen and they want to see my birth certificate or passport which is in th name that I was born with. I don't want to change my name legally but can I have the courts recognize me with both names. Long ago it was normal if you were in show business toj have an alias, e.g. Tony Curtis, Red Buttonsand a myrid of woman stars. Thank you. Lenny Roberts, XXX-XXX-XXXX XXX@XXXXXX.XXX

Mr Roberts, Unless you officially change your name, you cannot have the courts recognize you under both identities. What you can do, for certain documents, such as trust and wills, is you can put your name down as..."I, Bob Smith, also known as Lenny Roberts in my professional life, do hereby..." I am sorry. Sincerely, Dimitry Alexander Kaplun, Esq.
