HiCustomer

the laws vary by state, but adults can be adopted in most states without any age restriction. I would suggest that you contact your local family law courthouse to inquire about getting the paperwork that is right for your area. Let me know if more information is needed, and please remember to click "accept". thank you.

HiCustomer

I want for you to be satisified with the answer that you receive; maybe I misunderstood what you were asking. Would you like to rephrase the question?

Hi again:

There is no age limit for adoption in California. If the person is under the age of 18, it is considered a child adoption; if the person to be adopted is over the age of 18, it is considered an adult adoption. If the person to be adopted is age 9 or 99, they can still be adopted.

There is no wait period to start an adoption.

Let me know if more information is needed or if I still do not understand the question. Thank you.
