I am diabaled and currently receive SSI, may I get disability and SSI? I can''t seem to get a answer from anyone. I live in Ca.

You can possibly get private disability (if you have that coverage) but you can not get both Social Security Disability and SSI at the same time. In fact if you receive a back award for SSD for a period while you are on SSI, they will deduct what was paid to you during SSI period from any retroactive payments of SSD.
