  • current rent receipt in your name or statement from non-relative landlord;
  • current mortgage receipt or statement from mortgage company;
  • current utility receipts in your name;
  • valid Texas driver's license or identification card with current address;
  • children's school attendance records;
  • verification from employer;
  • voter's registration card
  • Basically if you can prove you have a home and a job there you can establish residency in that county. For colleges however, you must be a resident for 12 months normally to be considered a resident.
