Customer Question

My male lamb is very lethargic, lost weight, drinks a lot of water. I am guessing it is either worms or fly strike. He was dewormed two months ago.
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. Could be a lot of things that cause lethargy. The Veterinarian will know how to help the fly. What is the fly's name?
Customer: I have not seen any clear sign of flies yet.
JA: Is there anything else important you think the Veterinarian should know about the fly?
Customer: No.

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you today. I do apologize that your question was not answered before. Different experts come online at various times; I just came online, read about your wee one’s situation, and wanted to help.

Again I do apologize that my colleagues could not aid you sooner, but can you tell me:

How long has he had these signs?

Any scours or black stool?

Any fever?

Are his inner eyelids pale/white or rosy pink?

Any access to toxins?

What wormer did you use? What is he vaccinated for?
