My name is ***** ***** I have been a Vet tech for 30+ years.
When it comes to a Growth, the vet will need to do a Fine Needle Aspirate to determine what you are dealing with. The will take a needle and draw out some cells and send them off for a Pathology report. Once the Report comes back the Vet will have a better idea of treatment plan. Warts are usually Viral growths. A tumor can be benign or malignant and the FNA, can help determine the answers. There is no real treatment until the hoof is looked at hands on.
