My cow's right eye has pink tissue the size of a quarter

Customer Question

My cow's right eye has pink tissue the size of a quarter laying over it. It is located on the inside corner corner of the bottom eye lid. I don't know what the cause is or what to do about it. Can you help?

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you today.

How long has the eye been like this?

Does the eye look red/inflamed? Any discharge?

Any history of trauma to the eye?

Does the clear corneal cover look cloudy or hazy?

Can you take a photo of this? If you can and post them, it will let me see what you are seeing. To post them online, you can use the paper clip icon above your text box. Or if you cannot see that on your phone/computer, just post them on any site (ie Flickr, Photobucket, Imgr etc) and paste the web link here for me follow.
