Good Morning, and thanks for the question. My apologies for the delay in getting a response to you, I just logged in today and saw your post.

I am sorry to hear about your kid’s frustrating problem (for both of you, I’m sure!). Has there been any change with Natalia since you first posted your question?

I have a few questions that I would like to ask you to get a bit more information as to what the problem might be.

1): Is this Natalia’s first kidding?

2): What is Natalia doing, exactly, to prevent her kid from nursing?

3): How old is the kid?

4): Does the kid appear healthy?

5): Does Natalia seem to be producing enough milk?

6): Are there any other goats in with Natalia and her kid?

7): What is Natalia’s current diet?

Thanks, ***** *****’m looking forward to hearing from you. I will be out on calls throughout the day, but I’ll be checking for your response later this afternoon.

Dan C., DVM
