Hi, have a boer female goat who's horn was broken off about halfway when she was young. It has now started to grow towards to her eye and I need to cut it off. What can I use to do this and how much should I cut off and what to do if it bleeds? Thanking you. Bev Cooper

Dr M : How old is she and how long you are planning to keep her for?

Dr M : If relatively young and planning to keep her for long, I would recommend investing on a cosmetic dehorning:: the vet does it and cut it at base and sutures skin over it.

Dr M : If gonna be a short term story, just cut the horne midway to javoid getting into the sinus, knowing this will have to be repeated every few months. Would use a gigli wire to do it.
