What is the best medicine for cattle with runny nose?
Dr Steve :
Hi. How long has she had this runny nose?
Does she have a good appetite and activity is normal?
What antibiotics do you have available to you?
Can get what is recommended
An injectable is the fastest and I like to use Nuflor or Baytril (licensed for respiratory infections in cattle). Follow the label directions. Another way to treat is by adding Aureomycin to the feed at a rate of 4 gm per head once a day for 7 days, then 2 gms per head once a day for 1 week then 1 gm per head per day for 7 days. I hope this has helped. If you want you could give the injection as well as the feed additive.
Thank you and good luck. I will check later to see if you have more questions.
