Hi Michael. Thank you
Expert:  Michael Hannigan replied 3 months ago.

Is it stuck on the bios password *****?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
are you able to bypass remotely
Expert:  Michael Hannigan replied 3 months ago.

There's no way to do it remotely, but we may be able to get past it. What does it say exactly on the screen?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
I attached a picture of the screen
Expert:  Michael Hannigan replied 3 months ago.

The only way to possibly clear this is by hardware.

open up the RAM door on the bottom of the unit. The BIOS reset is under there. It should be two contacts - one with an XXX label. Short that to the other contact while turning the system on. This should clear the password.

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
What would I use to short out the contact?
Expert:  Michael Hannigan replied 3 months ago.

Anything metal. A screwdriver would work.

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
What is the other contact point
Expert:  Michael Hannigan replied 3 months ago.

They should be right next to each other.

Expert:  Michael Hannigan replied 3 months ago.

Nothing particular on the second one.

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
I have a bad battery I'm going to try to charge it and try again
Expert:  Michael Hannigan replied 3 months ago.

Ok. It should also work if it's plugged into power.

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
I currently have it plugged in but as soon as I hit the power button it immediately shuts off
Expert:  Michael Hannigan replied 3 months ago.

I see. It should work even without the battery. But it wouldn't hurt to charge it up.
