Hello and welcome to JustAnswer, I look forward to assisting you today. Feel free to disregard the Premium Service Offer for Remote Support. That is an automated popup initiated by the web site. You will need a Windows 7 installation disc if you plan on installing from scratch. If the boot manager is missing from your current computer, there should be a hidden partition you can re-install from already on the current hard drive.
This is on the Asus laptop you are having problems with the boot manager?
Power on or reboot the ASUS laptop. When the ASUS logo screen appears, press "F9" to access the hidden partition.
How's it going?
You will need to put the original hard drive back in to access the hidden partition. If you have the new drive installed you will see the boot manager error because you do not have any operating system installed.
If you want to stay with the new hard drive, you will need to insert the Windows 7 disc and boot from that to install it to the new drive.
If you would like any additional information regarding your question, please don’t hesitate to ask!
